Tampa City Attorney David Smith calls on FCC Chair to correct the record and retract misinformation used in FCC Open Meeting, Dec 20, 2006. At that meeting, the FCC adopted rules to restrict local cable franchise authority. Mr. Smith says it was ?blatantly inaccurate? for FCC staff to affirm to the Commission that ?Tampa required Verizon to film math tutoring sessions in order to obtain a video franchise agreement.? Mr. Smith asks the Chair to determine the source of the false testimony provided to the Commission.
